A New Milestone in Inclusive Innovation

nonPareil’s PowerSourcing team has reached an exciting milestone—successfully completing the Appointment Mentor VR project, a groundbreaking tool designed to help individuals on the autism spectrum practice and prepare for medical appointments in a safe, immersive environment.

Backed by support from the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health through a community grant, this initiative exemplifies what happens when innovation meets mission. By combining the technical expertise of PowerSourcing’s neurodiverse teams with thoughtful, user-centered design, Appointment Mentor VR offers a practical solution to a real-world challenge faced by many in the autism community: navigating doctor visits with confidence.

What is Appointment Mentor VR?

Available now on Steam, Appointment Mentor VR simulates a realistic doctor’s office environment where users can:

  • Rehearse common appointment scenarios
