nonPareil Partners with ONCOR to Bring a New Project to Life.

Commissioned by Oncor Electric Delivery, nonPareil’s PowerSourcing team developed Super Safe Kids, an educational game designed to teach children aged 7–10 about electric safety. The game covers key lessons like staying safe around power lines, assembling a home safety kit, and helping others in the community.

In 2017, nonPareil introduced a new mascot for ONCOR, Texas’ largest energy delivery company—Stripe the Safety Cone. This collaboration is what paved the way for nonPareil’s PowerSourcing team to partner with ONCOR to develop Super Safe Kids.

Working closely with ONCOR, the PowerSourcing team designed, developed, and launched a fun and informative game. Over 20 nonPareil crew members, utilizing the digital entertainment technology skills they gained through nonPareil’s training program, contributed to the project. This hands-on experience helped them grow as tech professionals, boosting their confidence, honing project management skills, and preparing them for their future careers.

Built with Unreal Engine, Super Safe Kids features a fully interactive digital neighborhood where players explore and learn through various safety scenarios. The game’s engaging characters and immersive 3D environment guide children through practical tasks and safety precautions, such as keeping a safe distance from power lines and recognizing hazards. Through interactive gameplay, children not only learn essential safety skills but also understand the importance of helping others, reinforcing a sense of community and empathy. Combining fun with learning, Super Safe Kids makes power line safety easy to grasp in a memorable and enjoyable way.

nonPareil and the PowerSourcing team are deeply appreciative of ONCOR’s support and trust in our crew members, giving them the opportunity to work this project.
